As part of our commitment to creativity and collaboration within the photography and modeling communities, we’re here to share insights into Time for Print (TFP) sessions—a popular arrangement benefiting both photographers and models.

What Are TFP Sessions?

Time for Print (TFP) is a collaborative exchange where a photographer and a model work together without monetary compensation. Instead, the model receives a set of edited photographs from the session. This practice is an excellent way for both emerging and established talents to build their portfolios, experiment with new concepts, and gain experience.

Benefits of TFP Sessions

  • Portfolio Development: Enhance your portfolio with professional, diverse photographs.
  • Experience & Exposure: Gain experience in front of the camera, and for photographers, practice shooting various styles and subjects.
  • Creative Exploration: TFP sessions often allow for more creative freedom, enabling both photographer and model to explore innovative ideas.
  • Networking Opportunities: Collaborate with individuals across the photography and modeling industries, opening doors to future opportunities.

Considerations for TFP Collaborations

  • Clear Communication: Ensure both parties have a mutual understanding of the session’s goals, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism, respect, and courtesy throughout the collaboration.
  • Rights and Usage: Agree on how the images will be used post-session by both the photographer and the model.
